Hourly Rate Policy
These hourly rate terms apply to time-based services provided by True Freedom Tech (“TFT,” “we,” “us”). By requesting hourly work, you agree to the terms below.
1) Hourly Rates
Standard Hourly Rate: $95/hr
The standard hourly rate for professional services is $95 per hour.
This rate typically applies to project work, active troubleshooting, development, consulting, and time-sensitive requests.
Limited-Scope Hourly Rate: $50/hr
A $50 per hour rate may be available for limited-scope work in specific situations,
only when agreed to in writing in advance (email or written proposal). This rate is typically reserved for:
- Basic maintenance tasks and small updates
- Pre-approved recurring work under a set scope
- Internal/admin tasks (content entry, routine checks, minor edits)
- Special pricing arrangements (retainers, nonprofit, referral, friends/family), when offered
If a request expands beyond limited scope, or becomes urgent/time-sensitive, it may be billed at the standard rate of $95/hr unless otherwise agreed in writing.
2) How We Choose the Rate
Your rate is confirmed before work begins via email, message, or proposal.
If no rate is explicitly confirmed in writing for a task, the standard rate of $95/hr applies.
3) Minimum Billing & Time Increments
- Minimum charge: 30 minutes per request.
- Billing increments: time is tracked and billed in 15-minute increments after the minimum.
4) What Counts as Billable Time
Billable time may include:
- Meetings, calls, and planning
- Research and troubleshooting
- Development, configuration, testing, and deployment
- Writing documentation, summaries, and handoff notes
- Client communications directly related to work (as needed)
5) Estimates vs. Actual Time
Any time estimate is an approximation. Invoices are based on actual time worked.
If we believe work will materially exceed an estimate or prior expectation, we’ll communicate as soon as practical.
6) Invoicing & Payment
- Invoices may be issued weekly, biweekly, monthly, or at milestone completion.
- Payment is due within 30 days of invoice date unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- Past-due balances may pause active work until the account is brought current.

7) Deposits / Prepaid Hours (When Requested)
For new clients, urgent requests, or larger time-based efforts, TFT may require a deposit or prepaid block of hours before starting work.
8) Scope Changes & Urgent Requests
If scope changes, priorities shift, or a request becomes urgent (e.g., same-day deadlines, after-hours work), we may re-confirm timing and rate before proceeding.
9) Approvals & Access
Client delays caused by missing credentials, approvals, content, or decisions may impact timelines.
Time spent waiting is not billed, but time spent coordinating, diagnosing access issues, or reworking changes may be billed.
